What does AI say when someone asks about your trade?
Most owners have never checked. The answer is usually surprising, sometimes wrong, and always useful. It is the first thing we look at.

Six things we look at.
We build a set of questions a real customer in your area would ask, run them across the major assistants, and record what comes back.
Presence
Are you named at all when someone asks for your service in your area?
Position
Are you the first name given, one of several, or an afterthought at the end?
Accuracy
Does the description of your services, areas and hours match reality?
Citation
Does the answer link to your site, or to a directory that outranks you?
Competitors
Who is being recommended instead, and what do they have that you do not?
Drift
How does all of the above change from one month to the next?
What the results can and cannot tell you.
AI answers are not deterministic. Ask the same question twice and you can get two different sets of names. That is why we use a fixed question set, run it repeatedly, and look at patterns rather than treating one screenshot as proof of anything.
We also cannot see inside these systems. Nobody can. What we can do is observe the output consistently, connect it to changes we made, and keep adjusting. Anyone promising you a guaranteed slot in an AI answer is selling something they cannot deliver.
